French olive oil soap

Olive oil has been used in creating soaps for thousands of years. The Greek and the French were the pioneers in soap making. Olive oil soaps have been manufactured since the 6th century when they were blended with the ashes of sea plants. Over the centuries the process of crafting the soaps has changed. There are two general methods of making the modern French soaps: one is the melt and pour method, the other is the cold-press process. Cold process is a preferable procedure because the product obtained is of a better quality.

The French olive oil soaps are simply marvelous. They have numerous diverse benefits. The bar has a pleasant smell of olives and after a warm bath it leaves a lingering aroma while your skin becomes smooth and supple. In the contemporary world where cosmetic products are loaded with chemicals, the French olive oil soaps come as a breath of fresh air. Olive oil restores your skin’s elasticity and natural moisture while nourishing it with the essential vitamin E. When the Dead Sea salts are also mixed while manufacturing the soaps, it becomes easier for the skin to absorb the vitamins and minerals. These days various French manufactures have been making olive oil soaps, which contain the essential oil, lavender flowers and original lavender perfume that is brought from Provence. The lavender constituent helps you in relaxing your mood. The merchants maintain a unique Provencal collection of olive oil soap bars. Air de Provence is one such natural French soap maker. Savon de Marseille is pure olive oil soap from South of France. The manufacturers claim that it takes at least two weeks for the Maitre de Savon to create a perfect Marseille soap. In its olive oil soap recipe, it uses olive oil, ash from marine plants and sea water in their purest form. These ingredients are heated in traditional cauldrons for ten days, followed by pouring out the mixture in pits where it is cooled down and eventually cut into shapes.

French Olive Oil Soaps

All the above description is about French olive oil soaps. But the uses of French olive oil are unlimited. So I have to confess that I am an olive oil addict and I try to add one teaspoon of olive oil on top of almost all my cooking recipes. When you add olive oil to your meals, you ensure that you have a little more protection from any heart disease. One of the most magnificent characteristics of olive oil is that it can be consumed just when it is freshly pressed. You can add it as a salad dressing or you can use it in soups. French Potato salad is simply irresistible. I try to add 6-7 Tbs of extra virgin French olive oil to it. The flavor is enhanced with the addition of mint leaves. The oil also works well with grilled red meats, risottos, green vegetables like broccoli, and hard cheeses.

Another advantage to olive oil is that it can be used as a beauty cream and a moisturizer, and can be used while manicuring your hands. Many people use French olive oil to massage their bodies. It is a wonderful substitute for butter and can be used as an accompaniment with garlic bread.

French olive oil is easy to obtain and there are many online stores that carry it in inventory. With just a few clicks it's right there on your doorstep.
